The year 2003 , ASEAN and Japan celebrate the 30th anniversary of their relations and coperatation to make this special occasion, the Heads of State and Goverment of Asean and Japan at their Summit Meeting in Phnom Penh , Cambodia in November 2002 , agreed to designate the year 2003 as “ASEAN-Japan Exchange Year”
On June 16, the Japan Post started selling a set of commemorative stamps for the Exchange Year. This stamp set is unique, consisting of 10 different stamps respectively featuring most famous buildings and landscapes of the ASEAN member countries, together with the logo of the Exchange Year.
