Thailand : ASEAN Joint Issues Stamp 2017

The 50th Anniversary commemorative stamp issued in 2017 marks a defining moment in the historical evolution of ASEAN, highlighting the consolidation of a shared regional identity after five decades of cooperation. Issued as part of the ASEAN Post joint series, the design employs national flowers to symbolize cultural diversity united under the motto “One Vision, One Identity, One Community.” This thematic approach reflects ASEAN’s emphasis on people-centered integration and collective identity-building beyond political and economic frameworks. The stamp constitutes modern philatelic evidence of ASEAN’s transformation into an established regional community, demonstrating the shift from institutional development toward the affirmation of common values, cultural representation, and enduring regional unity.
