Nature as a Symbol of Nationhood within ASEAN

Issued in 2016, this stamp series by Lao People’s Democratic Republic presents the national flowers of ASEAN member states, using floral imagery as symbolic representations of national identity, cultural values, and regional unity.

Each stamp depicts the officially recognised national flower of an ASEAN country, accompanied by its national flag, visually linking nature, nationhood, and regional affiliation.
The consistent design layout reinforces the concept of equality among member states within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
