Brunei : ASEAN Summit 2013

The Bandar Seri Begawan Declaration on the ASEAN Community’s Post-2015 Vision was adopted during the 23rd ASEAN Summit in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. In this declaration, ASEAN leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the principles outlined in foundational documents such as the ASEAN Declaration (Bangkok, 1967) and the ASEAN Charter (Singapore, 2007). They emphasized the importance of establishing a politically cohesive, economically integrated, socially responsible, and people-oriented ASEAN Community beyond 2015. The declaration tasked the ASEAN Community Councils with developing a post-2015 vision, building upon the achievements of the Roadmap for an ASEAN Community (2009-2015), and requested the ASEAN Coordinating Council to oversee this process, aiming for completion by the 27th ASEAN Summit.
